Visual Truth showing Layers, multi-selection, grid snapping, Studio controls, and Make It Code

Visual editing for Codex

Visual Truth

Move the thing. Size it. See every viewport. Then make the exact result durable code.

Version 1.3.0 · Development-only React editor

Designed for the last ten percent

Stop describing a two-second visual adjustment for two hours.

Visual Truth surrounds the website you are already building with an attached Lightroom-style workspace. The page remains live in the center while Layers, Design, Studio, rulers, responsive previews, and exact measurement controls stay within reach.

01

Direct manipulation

Select the real page. Drag, resize, align, restyle, edit text, replace media, and inspect exact rendered values.

02

Responsive truth

Review Desktop, iPad, Phone, or all three together at exact CSS viewport sizes before changing source.

03

Make It Code

Write the approved visual history into a reviewable generated module, then let Codex fold it into the owning components.

Precision without the code detour

The controls live where the work lives.

Built for precision

A serious editing surface, not a screenshot annotator.

  • Mouse-driven movement and eight-handle resizing
  • Pixel or inch rulers with grid and magnetic guides
  • Multi-select, grouping, alignment, and distribution
  • Typography, spacing, color, borders, shadows, and media focus
  • Reusable sections, named styles, and repeated-card data binding
  • Route-specific history, saved versions, Undo, and Redo

One local workflow

See it. Set it. Make it real.

  1. Open locally. Codex installs Visual Truth into a compatible React project behind a development-only boundary.
  2. Edit visually. Select real elements and establish the exact desktop, iPad, and phone result with the mouse.
  3. Make It Code. Write a reviewable source module and let Codex integrate the approved values into the application.

Publishing your website

Commit the approved source, run the production build, review it, then deploy with your existing host.

Publishing Visual Truth

Only the plugin publisher uploads a new Visual Truth release to the OpenAI plugin portal. Users do not republish the plugin.

Production boundary

The editor stays local. The approved code ships.

Visual Truth has no advertising tracker. Version 1.3.0 records only anonymous aggregate installation events and feedback you deliberately submit—never automatic project names, source code, page content, screenshots, device identifiers, identities, or editor activity. The editor remains a development dependency and is tested not to enter production output.
